When is a Prayer More Than Just A Prayer?

I've invited you all to join me in working to be All In for God.  We're starting by praying this prayer every morning as an invitation to God as well as a commitment to God to see, love, and follow Him more completely each and every day.

Gracious God, May I

See You more clearly,

Love You more fully,

Follow You more closely,

today and every day.

Then sometime towards the end of the day to reflect back over the day's events and ask ourselves these three questions.

How Clearly Did I See God:

How have I experienced God today?

How Fully Have I Loved God:

How did I express my love for God today?

How Closely Did I Follow Jesus:

How did I go about putting God first in my life?

It works best if you write down your responses in a notebook or journal.  That way you will hold yourself accountable to actually getting this done as well as having a record of your progress.

It doesn't seem like a very big commitment on the surface.  How is this being All In for Jesus Christ?  But think about it.  You are basically doing three things each day.  You're asking:

Where are you going to be today, Lord?  Reveal yourself to me.

How can I love you today, Lord?  Help me grab each opportunity.

Where are you headed today, Lord?  Don't let me fall too far behind Thee.

Take those questions seriously and I guarantee you that your spiritual life will take off like a rocket.  Stay tuned to this blog and I will offer insights from my own experience as well as clarification and helpful tips along the way.

The third component is that we plan to get together on a monthly basis with those who would like to be a part of this experiment.  This is not for spiritual overachievers, but for those who struggle and who are willing to keep on struggling until they find themselves blessed.
